WEG inaugurated its new Industrial Park in Santo Tirso, Porto, marking a key step in its European expansion. As one of WEG’s largest sites outside Brazil, it serves as a hub for advanced manufacturing and innovation across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
The park, which operates entirely on renewable energy, includes an HV Solutions Centre to produce medium and high-voltage motors, and a 12 MVA laboratory and will offer specialized services. Creating 100 new jobs, it will be one of the world’s most advanced testing and R&D facilities within the Group.
