From April 21-27, 2025, experience a week-long celebration of Portugal’s rich gastronomy and vibrant food culture at the third edition of Portugal Restaurant Week in California.
Since its launch in 2023, the event has grown each year. After starting in the San Francisco Bay Area, it expanded in 2024, and the 2025 edition will bring together nine Portuguese restaurants across California, from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. Diners will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive prix fixe menus, featuring the finest Portuguese food and wine.
Rooted in Mediterranean flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients, Portuguese cuisine is both diverse and distinctive, offering dishes you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
With no part of Portugal far from the ocean, seafood plays a starring role in the country’s culinary tradition. Beyond the beloved grilled sardines and the iconic salt-cured cod (Bacalhau), Portuguese cuisine features roasted octopus, rich seafood stews and cataplanas, and freshly caught shellfish—all prepared with simplicity and precision, always drizzled with the fruity, aromatic essence of Portuguese olive oil.
