Urban rehabilitation of an iconic palace in Madrid managed by Portuguese firm CarmoForm.
CarmoForm, a timber engineering and construction company, is strengthening its presence in Spain with the award of four new projects, consolidating the company’s internationalisation strategy and proving the capability of Portuguese engineering in mass timber for highly technically demanding public and private projects.
Among the new contracts, the intervention at the Casa Palacio de los Vargas in Madrid stands out as one of the group's most emblematic works. This is an urban rehabilitation project of a historic building whose original construction dates back to the 16th century, located in the Casa de Campo park, one of the Spanish capital's most iconic green spaces.
CarmoForm’s intervention will focus on the execution of timber structures, contributing to the recovery and preservation of this building's high historic and architectural value.

The company has been expanding its international activity through a construction model developed in Portugal, based on engineering, industrialisation, in-house production, and rigorous quality control.
The company's strategy involves exporting a complete timber construction model that integrates the structure, façade, and technical details, combining its own industrial production with tailored solutions for each project, with a particular focus on the urban rehabilitation, tourism, mobility, and modular construction sectors.
