The German Lufthansa Technik announced the construction of a new facility to further expand its capacity for the repair of engine parts and aircraft components in Santa Maria da Feira, south of Porto.
The future industrial unit will be equipped with the latest technologies in the maintenance, repair and overhaul industry and expects to employ 700 people. Technical training is due to begin in 2025, in a new training centre to be located close to the new plant.
