According the Portugal Business News, exports from Portugal’s Food and Beverage industry registered a growth of 10.64% for the first five months of 2024, according to FIPA.

Export figures from Portugal’s Food and Beverage industry show a high growth rate with sales reaching 3.345 billion euros, according to the latest data from Portugal’s statistics office INE. Portugal’s main Food and Beverage industry markets are in the EU that accounts for exports reaching 2.241 billion euros.
In Portugal, the sector that employs the most people within the manufacturing industry is the Food and Beverage sector that generates over 112,000 direct jobs and around 500,000 indirect jobs, while the country’s main agri-business manufacturing plants are located inland.
