The Chairman of AICEP, Ricardo Arroja, participated in the opening session of the second day of the Innovating Health Together Conference, organized by the Health Cluster Portugal.
The Conference took place on the 15th and 16th of October at the Super Bock Arena Congress Centre—Pavilhão Rosa Mota, in Porto.
Under the theme "Building Bridges in Europe and Beyond", Ricardo Arroja had the opportunity to speak about the new challenges of the internationalization of the health sector.
This international Conference is an important forum for discussing and exchanging ideas and experiences and places Portugal, under the Health Portugal brand, as a relevant European stage for discussing and presenting solutions for the future of European health over 2 days, in a collaborative manner and with a focus on innovation.
The Conference sessions focused on 4 main themes:
- Transforming healthcare systems through technology: Discuss how technology can improve the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of healthcare and how to facilitate its implementation.
- Health data and precision medicine: Exploring the revolutionary impact of big data and precision medicine on personalized care, disease prevention, and treatment strategies.
- The future of health for all: Explore perspectives on creating cutting-edge collaborative biotechnology solutions and advancing clinical research for inclusive and equitable health.
- Health value and sustainability: Learn about long-term sustainable impact and value for patients and citizens, emphasizing best practices, cost-effectiveness, and environmental and social responsibility.
In addition to these sessions, the Innovating Health Together Conference was a comprehensive and immersive event on health innovation with a space dedicated to startups - the HealthTech Showroom - and a partnering and/or funding event - the Brokerage Event.
