Ivo Vieira, CEO and founder of LusoSpace, Portugal’s first space company, says the innovation stems from a culture that values creativity and even the most unlikely ideas.

The company is developing the “Waze of the oceans”, a platform featuring collaborative tools that is set to revolutionise global maritime navigation.

“Portugal will be a pioneer in providing maritime communications services to vessels anywhere in the world,” Ivo Vieira assures.

In the coming months, the first four of a total of 12 satellites that will enable this constellation to operate are set to be launched.
