Amazon has selected 11 new startups and scale-ups to join the ClimateTech group of the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator, a programme created to drive the development of innovative solutions in the climate field.
Lasting four weeks, the programme combines workshops with experts, mentoring sessions and leadership panels. Some participating companies will also have the opportunity to test their solutions in pilot projects integrated into Amazon's European operations.

There were over 550 applications, but only 11 companies were chosen. All of them are working on three critical environmental challenges: energy efficiency, waste reduction and water management.
Among those selected is Porto-based start-up Omniflow, which has developed urban lighting poles powered by wind and solar energy, capable of reducing energy consumption by 90% compared to conventional models.
