The dstgroup began its activity in the 1940s with the extraction of aggregates. Since then, it has diversified its operations and currently operates across six business areas: Engineering and Construction, Environment, Renewable Energy, Telecommunications, Real Estate, and Ventures. Engineering and Construction accounts for around 80 per cent of the group’s turnover, which in 2024 exceeded 600 million euros.
Headquartered in Braga, dstgroup is a family-owned business structured into sub[1]holdings dedicated to each business area. It currently employs around 3,600 people, the majority of whom work in engineering - the group’s core area of expertise, in which it has continuously expanded its capabilities. Construction remains one of dstgroup’s main activities, particularly in the housing sector, public buildings, and historic rehabilitation. “Internationally, we’ve delivered several highly complex projects, some of which have received prestigious international awards, such as the Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, which won the European Steel Design Awards,” notes João Matos, Executive Board Member at dstgroup. Other notable projects include the construction of two hospitals in Angola, with a combined value of approximately 67 million euros.
