According to the Portugal News, this edition of the festival will include companies from Spain, France, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Romania, according to the programme by Teatro Estúdio Fontenova, the organiser in partnership with the Setúbal City Council.
In addition to the shows, there will be talks on theatre, concerts, short films, an exhibition and the OFF Section – Programa Mais Festa dedicated to emerging artists and structures.
On August 27, the winner of the OFF-2023 Section, “Break up” by Joana Raio, will premiere at the ESSG Balckbox, and the following day, at Livraria Culsete, there will be a talk on “Women in Drama” with Ricardo Boléo, Luísa Monteiro and Patrícia Portela, and on August 29, at Jardim do Bonfim, the show “Monotrux”, by the Monotux company (Brazil/Portugal).
As part of the Mais Festa section of the competition, “Secretos. Cuentos de vida, amor e Muerte” by Mónica Chiquillo (Columbia/Portugal) will premiere at the ESSG Auditorium, and “Miorita” by Aualeu Teatru (Romania) at the ESSG courtyard, in the official section.
