Wine exports grew by 8.58% in volume and 1.25% in value in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2023, according to ViniPortugal.
According to The Portugal News, during the first half of 2024, 171.5 million litres were exported worth €452.4 million, with an average price of €2.64 per litre.
As for export markets, in terms of value, the main ones are France (53.4 million euros), the United States of America (50.1 million euros) and Brazil (38.9 million euros). In terms of volume, France maintains the leading position (17.5 million litres), followed by Spain (16.4 million litres) and Angola (15.3 million litres).
