The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce the details of the “Individual Exhibitions” that will be implemented by the 12 sponsors for the pavilion of the Future Life Expo: “Future City” (hereinafter referred to as “Future City”). Together with the “Common Exhibitions”, which is led by the Association, a total of 15 future experience attractions will be presented to the public.
“Future City” is a joint exhibition project by the Association and 12 sponsoring companies and organisations, transcending the boundaries of organisations, companies and industries by utilising their respective knowledge and technological capabilities under the theme “To the city of happiness”, to envision the future cities of Society 5.0 where economic advancement is balanced with the resolution of various social problems.
The “Future City” pavilion is located on the waterfront on the western side of the Expo site. With a facility area of approximately 4,800 m2 (approximately 150 m long and 33 m wide) and an exhibition area of approximately 3,300 m2, it is one of the largest pavilions at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
The theme of the pavilion’s exhibition is “To the city of happiness.” One of the draws is the “15 future experience attractions”, which are co-created by the Association and the 12 sponsors. In this instalment, we will introduce the 12 individual exhibitors in five fields: “Society 5.0 and the Future City”, “Environment and Energy”, “Transportation and Mobility”, “Manufacturing and Urban Development”, and “Food and Agriculture”.
