According the Portugal Business News, three Portuguese fintech startups were selected for the Visa Innovation Program Europe 2024 out of 115 applications from 25 countries.
The Portuguese fintech ecosystem is set to lead the next generation of payments and the startups that are part of the new edition of the Visa Innovation Program will work with Visa, with leading startup accelerator Hackquarters and with Portuguese tech consulting agency Fintech Solutions to expand on a global scale.

Paynest provides a flexible salary payment platform created for the financial well-being of companies and of their employees. Paynest, that is part of the most recent cohort of Unicorn Factory Lisboa, raised USD 2.2 million in December 2023 to boost their European expansion.
