DC Piping results from strategic partnership with Victaulic and CTS Nordics to accelerate expansion in northern Europe. This unit will produce essential components for data center construction and shorten project delivery times.
In April, MECWIDE Group will inaugurate a production plant for data center components in Vila Nova de Cerveira. The plant represents an important investment for Mecwide, the result of a strategic partnership with Victaulic and CTS Nordics, which will be called DC Piping. The aim is to accelerate the expansion of the business in the Nordic countries.
DC Piping, based in Portugal, will provide the components and services needed to develop the business in the Nordic region and bring customers' critical projects online faster and more efficiently.
The partnership between MECWIDE, Victaulic and CTS Nordics will shorten the delivery of data centers and ensure specialized maintenance throughout the life of the project, allowing customers to utilize all of their operational capacity.
"This partnership is particularly important for MECWIDE's expansion strategy in the Nordic countries and its diversification into the big data world. It allows us to exponentially increase our responsiveness in carrying out the data center projects that we have with our client partner, with the same efficiency and reliability as always," says Carlos Palhares, Chairman of MECWIDE.
“This strategic move aligns with our commitment to deliver unparalleled value to our customers and the construction industry,” commented Rick Bucher, President and CEO of Victaulic. The combined expertise of CTS Nordics and Mecwide positions us as a formidable force to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and on budget. Together we are poised to optimize efficiency and set new standards of excellence for mission critical data center projects.”
DC Piping's production unit in Vila Nova de Cerveira covers an area of 7,000m2 and will have around 60 highly specialized employees in prefabrication and piping.
