Applications are made exclusively online.
On the application form you must provide the internship plan which should include place, department, role area, task plan and schedule.

Host entities are selected based on: quality of the internship plan, flexibility capacity, and degree of commitment.
Quality of the internship plan
Coherence and relevance of the internship plan for the objectives of the INOV Contacto program and contribution to the enhancement of the intern's skills.
Flexibility capability
Capability to operate via remote work.
Commitment
Previous collaboration with AICEP Portugal Global and the INOV Contacto program and availability to hire the intern at the end of the internship.
Matching
Through an effective way of processing offers we try to guarantee that applicants will get the best possible result available to them and the company. The Inov Contacto will provide the identification of the best profile of the candidate suitable for the internship plan that includes a pre-curricular validation by the host entity.

Structure
Training in Portugal – Campus and Internship
The Intensive Course on International Practices (Campus) takes place in a hybrid format and marks the beginning of the internship. It is during the in-person session of this course, that the intern will learn about the host entity and destination country. The internship period in Portugal takes place at the host entity (when this option is selected) or at AICEP, until departure for the destination abroad.
Internship Abroad
Training in a real work environment, lasting up to 9 months, during which the intern is integrated into the host organization.
Closing Session (1 day)
An event where internship experiences are shared, certificates are awarded, and a final evaluation takes place.
Conditions and benefits
AICEP pays directly to the interns the following items:
Monthly internship grant throughout the entire internship period.
Monthly accommodation allowance only during the internship period abroad (based on the ONU cost of living index)
Meal allowance in Portugal and abroad.
Workman’s compensation insurance in Portugal and abroad.
Worldwide personal accident insurance during the internship period abroad
Health insurance during the internship period abroad.
Round trip to the internship location by plane or other public transportation in economic class.
