Esporão has just celebrated its 50th anniversary. It was born in the Alentejo, but today it also produces Douro and Vinho Verde wines, olive oil and craft beer. In 2023, Esporão exported to more than 50 markets, with a turnover of 51 million euros. Its mission is to produce the best products that nature has to offer.
Esporão wines tell a story of the Alentejo that has just completed five decades. The story began in 1973 with the creation of the Finagra company and the acquisition of the Herdade do Esporão in Reguengos de Monsaraz, in the Évora district. From the beginning, the aim was to produce quality wines, taking advantage of the unique conditions of the estate. Fifty years later, Esporão has become one of the largest wine producers in Portugal while maintaining its family structure
