In addition, the photovoltaic plant with an output of 22 megawatts peak has already been granted a production license and the connection to the grid has been approved, while the relevant lease agreements have also been signed. Construction of the plant is therefore scheduled to get underway before the end of this year.
According to Edisun estimates, Sadino will produce around 44 gigawatt hours of solar power per year upon completion. This corresponds to around a quarter of the current generation capacity of the solar power producer. At present, Edisun is weighing up the option of adding a battery storage facility at Sadino.
In the same press release, the company provides an update on developments in connection with a bond issued at the beginning of the month. It offers investors 3.5 percent interest over a five-year term. As of July 1, a total of 13 million francs had been subscribed. The company is also offering investors in a 2 percent Edisun bond that is set to fall due at the end of August the opportunity to reinvest their redeemable amount in the new bond before a deadline of September 1. In total, 9.3 million francs have already been converted in this way, Edisun reports.
