The CEO of Portos de Setúbal (APSS) stated that the ongoing projets will include better railroad access, the extension of the roll-on roll-off terminal that will improve maritime access and facilitate the supply of electricity to vessels that are moored.
Additional projects include a private investment of EUR 40 million to develop the Sapec dry bulk terminal in 2026 as well as a multi-use terminal with a 300 metres’ loading bay.
These investments will increase port activity and will develop the Ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra to become a hub for the region.
