Mónica Pinto achieves the prominent Silver A'Design Awards & Competition, in Lighting Products and Lighting Projects Design Category.

Mónica Pinto de Almeida, the soul and designer behind the brand Mokki, creates pieces with passion, emotion, and color. The Awarded LORCA ceiling lamp brings a sculptural note to any space, it's a thin rectangular vertical line coming straight from the ceiling, displaying an excerpt of poetry along this line. The poem is attached along one edge of the square body with a perfect reading and highlight to this main feature. The lamp is entirely made in iron and naturally oxidized. The light fixture Led hidden at the end of the body creates an accent light. Through poetry the designer wanted to create a dialogue, between the words, the forms, the textures and the spectator.

CUBES, table lamp

A very clear aesthetic was formed in her mind inspired by the architecture of the early 20th century, the Bauhaus and German modernism. Architecture, which is one of her passions and sources of inspiration, especially from this era, was the engine of creation for this table lamp. The work of volumes with defined geometric shapes and their special way of working with the "truth to materials" principle, were the main characteristics that inspired her in the creation and development of this design.
