The Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) was removed from Germany's Covid-19 "high-risk" list, along with Spain and Chile.

Germany has pulled the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) from the list of “high-risk” regions of contamination by Covid-19. Spain and Chile have also been removed, the Robert Koch Institute for Public Health announced on Friday.

Germany withdrew, on the 13th of this month, the regions of Alentejo, North, Centre and Azores, leaving the AML and Algarve on the list.

On the opposite direction, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Saint Kitts and Nevis entered for the first time in the “high-risk” category of the German government. There are now 70 countries on the “red list”.

The German Covid-19 list of “high-risk” countries means that all people who have been to any of the listed countries and returned to Germany within 10 days have to follow specific rules. These include the requirement to isolate for a period of ten days at home, or 14 days if they have returned from areas of variants of concern.
